I had an amazing steak today...
I would be remissed of my duties as a food blogger to not include the reason as to why I exist, live, breathe, and wake up every morning.
Here's the recipe to a great marinade for any steak- ribeye, sirloin, nystrip, t-bone, well... you get the point!
For an 16oz steak you will need
1/4 cup of red wine
3tbsp of soy sauce
3tbsp of a thick sweet glaze ( I suggest using pomegranate port roasting glaze from williams sonoma)
minced garlic (2-3 cloves)
Garlic Salt
Salt
Pepper
combine all the ingredients together and let your steak marinate for a minimum of 30 mins for more flavor let the steak marinate overnight!
When cooking the steak:
heat pan to medium-high heat
drizzle olive oil or a tsp. of butter and let the butter melt
place steaks on pan letting cook on each side for about 5 -7 mins depending upon how well done you like your steaks....
eat and enjoy =)

How to make Egg-in-a-hole
Egg-in-a-hole is an easy way to start your day! Its happy, healthy, and hearty.... ok so lets get started:
Things you need:
1 large egg
salt and pepper
a slice of bread (wheat or white or sourdough)
1 tsp butter for cooking
(to make the hole- you will need a shotglass or small round cookie cutter)
Prepare: with your round cookie cutter or glass, cut out a hole in the middle of the bread
Start off with a 10-inch frying pan and place on stove - medium heat
place butter on frying pan until it melts
as soon as the butter is melted, place the piece of bread on pan (leave on pan for 30 seconds)
As soon as the pan is hot enough, break egg open into the center of the bread and cook for 2-3 minutes. Flip the bread over with egg intact, and cook for another 2-3 minutes depending on how well cooked you like your eggs.
Season with salt and pepper and serve!
